1. Overview

This Privacy Policy is maintained by TorahVR, the organization responsible for developing and distributing the MikDash and GenesisVR applications ("the Apps"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding how we collect, process, and store data when you use our applications on the Meta Quest platform.

2. Meta Platform Data Collection & Processing

To provide social and competitive features, our Apps access specific data through the Meta Horizon platform. We process the following information:

  • User ID: A unique identifier provided by Meta to associate your game progress and settings with your account.

  • User Profile (Username & Profile Photo): We access your Horizon username and profile picture to personalize your in-game experience.

  • Friends List: We access your friends list to enable social features, such as seeing friends on leaderboards or inviting them to join you.

  • Deep Linking: We process destination data to allow you to launch directly into specific areas or challenges within the Apps from the Meta Quest interface.

3. Purpose of Data Processing (Achievements & Leaderboards)

The data identified above is processed exclusively for the following functional purposes:

  • Leaderboards: Your User ID and Username are used to display your scores and rank compared to other players and your Friends.

  • Achievements: We use your User ID to track, store, and display your earned in-game milestones and trophies.

  • Social Connectivity: Your Friends List allows you to interact with known contacts within the VR environment.

Note: TorahVR does not use this platform data for marketing or advertising. We do not store your profile photo or friends list on our own private servers; this data is processed in real-time via Meta’s APIs.

4. Non-Personal Usage Data

In addition to platform features, we may collect:

  • Device Information: Hardware type and OS version for technical optimization.

  • App Usage Data: Anonymous logs regarding session length and feature interactions.

  • Diagnostics: Crash reports to improve app stability.

5. Data Deletion and User Rights

Users have the right to request the deletion of any data processed by TorahVR.

  • How to Request: Email support@torahvr.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request."

  • Scope: Upon request, we will remove any stored references to your User ID in our internal logs and leaderboard databases.

  • Platform Data: To revoke app access to your Meta Profile or Friends List, you can manage your "App Permissions" within your Meta Quest account settings.

6. Data Protection Practices

  • Data Minimization: We only request access to the platform features strictly necessary for gameplay (Achievements/Leaderboards).

  • Security: Any data handled is processed through secure Meta API channels and encrypted connections.

  • No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell or share your User ID, Profile, or Friends List with any third parties or advertisers.
